Some kind little toe rag has relieved my LM240 inflatable of her oars & seat. As they were in the locked dinghy store, it was probably a local yottie or fisherman - thieving scrotes!
Anyway, I am looking for a set of Plastimo style alloy shaft plastic oars, the type that break into 2 halves & have a sleeved hole for a thole pin & are held on by a captive plastic nut. Pretty generic stuff really (I guess that's why they were nicked). Anybody got a set, or a part set or even a damaged set that I could fix. I am based in the Midlands & sail N Wales, but visit the Wirral quite often & would pay postage if you are based elsewhere.
The inflatable seat would be nice too, but not critcal as I can always use a spare plastic jerry can if needs must..

In the event of no-one coming up with the goods, try buying blades from a canoe shop and jamming them into alloy tubes. Excellent and individual, so unlikely to get nicked. Mine have lasted for years. PS a stopper in the end helps them float.

Thanks, as it happens (Guys & Galls?) I managed to locate my spare pair buried at the bottom of the aft cabin so I am back in control of the situation. Sahona, neat idea, I have some alloy tube & old cheapo paddles so I shall make a new spare pair & drill a hole in 'em for when I next get targetted by selfish boaters in Wales.
Nick, I did try uploading a new avatar, but gave up 'coz I think I got the sizing wrong. Boatophucket have a standard avatar re-sizeing option, could something like that be set up for old Bluey? I might go & have a ferckle round my drawers to see what I can find for the amusement & entertainment of the masses.
