OceanBlue Sailing - Site Under Development
Can an ordinary ordinary couple with a small boat go blue water sailing on a budget? Could you head South across Biscay to La Coruna then cruise down the rias of Spain before crossing to Madeira and the Canaries?
Perhaps your dream is to complete an Atlantic circuit, cruise the Caribbean or maybe just spend Winter in the Canaries then come back via the Azores. It can be done with a little money and a little planning. It isn't rocket science after all, it's just sailing.
We did our big trip in 2006/2007 aboard a 1973 Albin Vega Mk II. It was a wonderful year, and we hope to repeat it before we are too old. This site is for ordinary people with limited budgets who want to make their bluewater dream come true, even if only in a modest way.
We are going to look at the boats, the routes, the cruising areas, the budgeting and pretty much everything else you need to know.
